Hi,
My Windows 10 version is : 20H2 (OS Build 19042.928)
Today I am not able to start Outlook 2016. It was working fine until yesterday.
When I try to open Outlook it is gives following error:
Thanks for the replies. I did uninstall of all Office 2016 and then reboot and then installed it all again.
It worked 2-3 times but its giving same issue againĀ .
This time I noticed that when I try to open Outlook, my SSD disk goes to 100% in Task Manager.
It remains at 100% for about 1 -2 minutes and then it gives the same error “C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\RstrtMgr.DLL is either not designed to run on Windows or……. 0xc0000006.” After this error the SSD usage goes back to normal in Task Manager.
UPDATE – It seems my ssd is failingĀ . I am trying to replace it with a new ssd and do a clean install of windows 10 on new ssd.
That’s exactly what the error mesage says. A re-install is needed.
Make sure you remove the current version of Outlook (or possbly the whole of Office) before you re-install.
I noticed the other day that the internal “repair” utility in Office seems to have been quietly depreciated?
Come back if a re-install does not fix it.
