I want to stop OneDrive from backing up critical files and put all the files back to where they belong on my the PC.
There are numerous tips found on Google and they all say first unlink the PC. Then it says to open File explorer and move the files. However as soon as you unlink OneDrive, File explorer cannot see OneDrive.

but when I select a a folder I get this message that tells me “Can’t stop syncing folder”

So how do I stop the syncing?

Thanks

Try Disabling One Drive, then restore the filesĀ Enable or Disable OneDrive Integration

Restore the files to the computer. Now depending on whether you want to disable it completely or merely pause follow the instructions. There’s a reason it’s free (at least for the volume given). You get what you pay for.
