Hello!
I recently upgraded my machine and ever since my windows has been freezing randomly and the only way to fix it is to hard shut down and reboot. I’ll be watching videos and going on different websites, nothing too intensive and all of a sudden the video will start to buffer then freeze and i won’t be able to click on anything. My mouse still moves around but nothing responds. ctrl+alt+del does nothing, start menu doesn’t come up, can’t launch task manager. I’ve completely reinstalled windows and updated to latest version of all drivers/bios with no luck. I’m starting to wonder if this is a hardware issue but i’ve run stress tests on my CPU and GPU and it didn’t crash, and i’ve run a memtest and it passed with no errors.
Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
Mobo: Gigabyte Aorus b550 Pro
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 Super
Memory: 32GB g.skill rgb
Windows 10 Pro 20H2
OS Build 19042.906
Unfortunately I moved from an i7-6700k to the 5600x so the old mobo(and memory for that matter) won’t fit with the new cpu. I’ll have to try to see if someone has another mobo I can borrow that’s known good. Thanks for the advice!
UPDATE – If anyone finds this thread. It was NZXT CAM causing the freezes. I’ve found multiple threads about how it was causing the same issue as mine.
I would remove the newer motherboard, install the old board…and see if problems occur. I see nothing in the data supplied that tells me something other than the motherboard is awry…time to revert to basics when there were no problems, IMO.
PSU manufacturer and model?

Also…please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy, taking care to post the link of the snapshot in your next post.
Go to website, and download the free version on the left. Click Download from ccleanercom (the FileHippo link requires an extra click). Or if you want to use a portable version of Speccy (which doesn’t require installation), click the builds page link and download the portable version. You will now be asked where you want to save the file. The best place to put it is the Desktop, as it will be easy to find later.
After the file finishes downloading, you are ready to run Speccy. If you downloaded the installer, simply double-click on it and follow the prompts until installation is complete. If you downloaded the portable version, you will need to unzip it before use. Right-click the ZIP file and click Extract all. Click Next. Open up the extracted folder and double-click on Speccy.
