Recurring problem with Ethernet2021-04-21T08:05:17+01:00

Good morning and Happy Holidays to all,

I’m running Windows 10 Home Build: 19041 My DNS setting aren’t the problem since I’ve check that and Flushed DNS and restarted.
There is no rhyme or reason I can see but with Ethernet, occasionally some sites will load, some will not.

Wifi does not exhibit this problem.

I had Proxy detect on but have turned it off. Still no joy. \

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Motherboard: HP 8615 (FP5)

I’ve just installed the latest Realtek Pcie GbE Family Controller driver Version: 10.45.928.2020 to no avail.

I know the cable running 70 feet under the house is pretty old and is Cat 5 24 AWG Stranded

I’m going to get under the house and pull some Cat 6 550MHz, UTP, Pure Bare Copper Wire, 24AWG to replace it.

UPDATE – I’ve updated Realtek Pcie GbE Family Controller to no avail. I’ve also switched ports on the modem which did not help to include power cycling the modem but no joy.

I then uninstalled and reinstalled the Controller in Device Manager while keeping the updated driver and Ethernet working properly again.

I’m still going to pull some outdoor Cat 6 solid copper.
